In the pursuit of critically examining the representation of indigenous tribes in the Philippines, my exploration has progressed to utilizing digital software such as Photoshop. Through this process, I endeavour to engage in a recontextualization of the “other,” highlighting how popular culture has appropriated and distorted the identities of indigenous people. By employing digital tools to analyze and rework ethnographic images, I aim to create new perspectives that challenge existing narratives and offer a fresh lens through which to view these communities.
